Billy Zane Explores the Space Between Art and Design in Three-Part Exhibition
Billy Zane’s latest body of work is a compelling exploration of contrast and convergence. Debuting across three venues, the work is shown in collaboration with celebrated design houses Molteni&C and Luminaire, as well as iconic automotive brands McLaren and Aston Martin.
Known for his improvisational and environmentally mindful process, Zane’s paintings—created using reclaimed materials and intuitive gestures—are placed in conversation with precision-engineered furniture and high-performance design. This contrast reveals a dynamic tension between immediacy and refinement, play and precision.
Rather than disrupt the aesthetic harmony of these luxury spaces, Zane’s work acts as a counterpoint—challenging viewers to find new meaning in the interplay between the handcrafted and the manufactured.
The third venue, Loisir Gallery, offers a dedicated presentation of Zane’s newest paintings in a traditional setting. This quieter, focused environment gives audiences the opportunity to engage more deeply with the artist’s vision and process.
